Elliott was a founding member of his previous company, joining at its inception in 2007 and playing a crucial role in its evolution. As Director of Acquisitions, he was responsible for identifying acquisition opportunities and executing transactions. Over his 17-year tenure, Elliott was instrumental in every acquisition, driving over $2 billion in fully cycled commercial real estate deals. His contributions were key to the company’s transformation into a leading multifamily operator, achieving an average portfolio IRR of more than 30%.
Prior to this, Elliott served as Director of Acquisitions at Merlin Funding, an opportunity fund in Chicago founded by Harvey Camins and Mike Tomasz. In that role, he oversaw the investment of approximately $250 million in office and industrial properties across the city. Elliott started his real estate career in the Real Estate Investment Group at JP Morgan in New York.
Elliott holds a B.A. in Political Science and Finance from Loyola University and an M.A. in Real Estate from Cornell University, where he made his mark by founding the Cornell Real Estate Journal.
